How We Approach Every Job
Before we touch a watch, we look at it carefully. What is the movement type? How does it run — or not run? What is the condition of the case, dial, and crystal? Is there moisture? Evidence of previous work? Does the crown feel correct? This initial assessment takes time, but it shapes everything that follows.
We then write up what we found and what we propose to do, along with an estimated cost. You review this and decide whether to proceed. Only after your agreement do we begin. This sequence — inspect, explain, agree, then work — is how every job runs at Suwan, regardless of service level.
During the work, we contact you if something unexpected comes to light that changes the scope or cost. Once complete, the watch is measured, checked, and prepared for collection or return. We include a brief note on what was done and, where relevant, guidance on care going forward.
Crystal & Case Care
A tidy cosmetic service for watches whose movements run well but whose cases show daily wear. We polish or replace a scratched crystal where suitable, gently clean the case and bracelet, and renew worn gaskets. Function is checked and a short note provided. A pleasant way to refresh a familiar watch.

Mechanical Service
A complete service for mechanical movements losing accuracy or power reserve. We clean and re-lubricate the movement, inspect the balance and escapement, replace the mainspring if needed, and regulate for steady timing. Seals are renewed and the crown checked. Suited to watches worn most days.

Restoration & Conservation
A measured restoration for older or meaningful watches where preservation matters as much as repair. We overhaul the movement, conserve the case and dial respectfully, and make every cosmetic choice in conversation with you. Original parts are retained wherever possible. Documented throughout.

Crystal & Case is best for
A watch that runs as it should but needs a freshen-up. Quick turnaround, lower starting cost.
Mechanical Service is best for
A daily wearer showing accuracy or power reserve issues. The most commonly requested service.
Restoration is best for
A watch with personal or collector significance. Takes longer, but the outcome is documented and considered.

Timing Measurement
All serviced movements measured on a timing machine before return. We share results on request.
Secure Workshop
Watches are stored in a locked cabinet during non-working hours. Insurance coverage applies to all pieces in our care.
Parts Returned
Replaced components returned with the watch. You decide what to keep or discard — not us.
Aftercare Notes
Brief guidance on winding, storage, and use included with every returned watch. Specific to the movement and service performed.
