Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 15 May 2025 · Suwan, Bangkok, Thailand

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Suwan ("we", "us", "our") and the person or entity ("you", "the client") who submits a watch for service or enquires about our services. Our workshop is located at 276 Surawong Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.

By leaving a watch in our care or confirming a service in writing, you agree to these terms. We encourage you to read them carefully. If anything is unclear, please speak with us before proceeding — we are glad to explain.

These terms apply to all services offered at our workshop: Crystal & Case Care, Mechanical Service, and Restoration & Conservation.

1. Acceptance of Service

When you bring a watch to us, we carry out an initial inspection and, where possible, share our findings with you before work begins. For larger or more complex services, we provide a written assessment by email or telephone.

Work proceeds once you confirm in writing — by email, text message, or signed acceptance — that you have reviewed and agreed to the proposed scope and price. We do not begin substantive work without your confirmation.

If the condition of a watch during service reveals additional work that was not visible at intake, we will pause and contact you before continuing. You are under no obligation to proceed with any additional work.

2. Pricing and Payment

Our published service prices reflect the standard scope described for each service. Prices are displayed in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of labour unless otherwise stated. Parts replacement, where required, may be quoted separately.

Payment is due upon collection of the watch or, for remote clients, prior to dispatch. We accept cash (Thai Baht), bank transfer, and payment methods discussed at intake. A detailed receipt is provided with every completed service.

If you choose not to proceed after an assessment has been carried out, a reasonable inspection fee may apply. We will always advise you of this possibility before conducting a paid assessment.

3. Timelines

Estimated completion times are shared at intake and in writing where possible. These are reasonable guides based on current workload and the nature of the service:

Timelines may be affected by the availability of specialist parts, the complexity of work discovered during service, or other reasonable circumstances. We will contact you promptly if a significant delay arises.

We do not accept liability for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including delays in the supply of parts from manufacturers or third-party suppliers.

4. Collection and Uncollected Watches

We will contact you when your watch is ready. We ask that you collect within 30 days of notification. Watches not collected within 60 days of notification may, at our discretion, be placed in storage for which a modest storage fee may be charged.

Watches left uncollected for more than 12 months, despite reasonable attempts to contact you, may be treated as abandoned in accordance with applicable Thai law. We retain records of all attempts to reach the owner.

If you are unable to collect in person, please contact us to arrange a suitable alternative. We are glad to discuss secure postal or courier arrangements for clients who cannot visit the workshop.

5. Care of Watches and Liability

We handle every watch in our care with the attention that precision timepieces deserve. We work with small teams and maintain careful records of all watches on the premises.

Our liability for loss or damage caused by our negligence is limited to the reasonable market value of the watch at the time of intake, as agreed with you. We are not liable for any pre-existing faults not identified at intake, nor for normal variations in the condition of aged or antique components.

For watches of significant value, we recommend that you maintain your own insurance coverage during the service period. We can provide a written record of the watch at intake upon request.

We are not responsible for any consequential losses arising from service delays or any outcome not directly caused by our negligence.

6. Restoration and Conservation Work

Restoration work involves considered decisions about the watch's appearance and components. For our Restoration & Conservation service, we discuss all significant cosmetic choices with you before proceeding. We aim to preserve original materials wherever possible.

Where original parts are worn beyond safe use and suitable replacements are not available, we will advise you of the options and proceed only with your agreement. Removed original parts are retained and returned with the watch unless you instruct otherwise.

The outcome of restoration work on aged or antique movements depends in part on the condition of existing components. We take care to be realistic in our assessments and to communicate honestly throughout the process.

7. Questions and Concerns

If you have any concern about work carried out, please contact us as soon as possible. We take all feedback seriously and will do our best to reach a fair resolution.

You may reach us by telephone at +66 2 351 6492, by email at [email protected], or by visiting the workshop in person during opening hours (Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00–18:00).

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you submit your watch for service applies to that engagement. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
